UV-Activated Chromatic Fluorescent Materials
Avian Technologies fluorescent standards are produced with highly stable inorganic fluorescent pigments in a stable thermoplastic resin. They are excited with UV light and fluorescently emit light at very defined wavelengths.
Avian Technologies fluorescent standards are very matte and are available as 2″ diameter standards in a Delrin holder with protective cover. They are available in nine emission colours:
- Violet (418nm emission)
- Blue (451nm emission)
- Blue-Green (485nm emission)
- Green (510nm emission)
- Yellow-Green (535nm emission)
- Orange (590nm emission)
- Red-Orange (605nm emission)
- Red (660nm emission)
- Near Infrared (1000nm emission)
While Avian Technologies no longer offers traceable calibration for these fluors, calibrations for these materials can be obtained from the National Research Council Canada by contacting Dr. Joanne Zwinkels.
Custom sizes and configurations of most fluorescent materials are available upon request.
